Is installing insulation a DIY project I can do?
If your loft is easy to access, does not have damp problems you could probably have a go at insulating it yourself. However, we would always recommend using a reliable company with adequate liability insurance in case the unthinkable happens of you falling through the ceiling and potentially hurting yourself.
What if I already have insulation but it’s very old?
We can remove and replace current insulation with more appropriate and efficient insulation. Nothing lasts forever, so why would we assume loft insulation will never deteriorate? It is estimated that good quality insulation should last from 30 to 40 years depending on other factors such as secondary water or fire damage.
What about all the clutter thats already in the loft?
We know that most lofts and attics are used for additional storage space for things like old suitcases and the 1980s Christmas tree. Therefore we do offer a service to declutter your loft, and remove any unwanted items subject to a quotation. This will then allow you to get the most out of your new insulation with more storage space.
